The first stop on your excursion is Haus Alpine Naturschau at 2,260 m above sea level. A modern museum on the mountains of the Hohe Tauern including a marmot cinema and mineral exhibition, an open-air installation "The highest Salzburg mountain giants", an educational plant trail and a cozy restaurant await you here.
The destination and absolute highlight is the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe Visitor Center high above the Pasterzen glacier at 2,369 m above sea level. You have 2 hours here to explore the diverse offer for visitors. Depending on your preferences and ability, you have different options - here are some excerpts: exhibitions "The success story of the automobile & motorcycle exhibition", art exhibition "Alpenliebe" and "Gletscher.Leben", "Mountain women on the rise", Glockner cinema, National Park- Infocenter, panorama path "Kaiserstein" to the Wilhelm Swarovski observation point (10min) and alpine glacier path to Pasterze, alpine Gamsgrubenweg with grandiose views of Austria's highest mountain, the Großglockner (3,798 m).
On the way back you have the opportunity to have a short coffee break, to visit an exhibition or to take a walk at the Schöneck, Hochtor or at the Fuscher Lacke.
